As a baby of the 80’s, a commercial I remember fondly is the one for Folgers Coffee

A woman rises before her family with the morning sun, and pads down to the kitchen wearing a cozy robe.  As golden light streams in through the curtain she brews a fresh cup of coffee.  Pouring a cup and wrapping both hands around her mug, she takes a deep breath of the rich aroma.  As she stares out at a meadow, the sun now higher in the sky, she thinks: “Damn, life is sweet.”

I don’t know about you, but my mornings don’t exactly go like that..

And then I get ritual shame.

Do you ever get morning ritual shame?

You know, when you’re having a chaotic morning and, as if you’re not doing enough already, you feel shame that you could be more serene if only you were more organized and did a G.D. morning ritual everyday???

I am always wary of shortcuts and hacks - but I do believe in the power of precious moments.

Which is why today’s episode will help you feel more centered, sumptuous, and satisfied in the morning…through rituals that take 5 minutes or less.

Featuring:

  • A morning movement ritual to stir intention in your cells and awaken your inner compass

  • Simple, silent accoutrement that are a powerful and pleasurable supporting cast to your morning production

  • A fragrance ritual that will press your intentions into your skin and help you go from zero to intoxicating in 60 seconds flat

  • And two more I wouldn’t dare spoil the surprise of

The best part of waking up is simple pleasures in your cup.

I’m pouring.

Love,

Mary

P.S. - One of the benefits of becoming my coaching client is an invitation to the Monday Ground (an alternative to the Monday Grind.)  Do you wish you could bring more of your body into how you plan your week? Do you want to be more intentional and accountable to your goals?  Is there a part of you that knows that the slowest part of you is the smartest part of you?

If so, pull up a cushion.  I’ve saved you a seat.
