Just the other night, I stood over my stove with a pan of hot oil shimmering before me. I slowly folded in a few pats of butter, watching creamy pools begin to swirl artfully with the golden oil.
I dropped in about ten fragrant sage leaves into the pan, snipped right from a terracotta pot sitting on my porch.
They sizzled delicately before me, teasing my nose with their fecund, earthy aroma.
As I lifted them from the pan and placed them atop a perfectly roasted, bone-in pork chop, I thought to myself, "Who am I right now?"
My whole life, the one place it felt like my sensuality could not reach was cooking. Cooking was a complicated chore that I thought I just didn't have the gene for.
Quarantine has brought many unexpected evolutions. One of them is that I am proud to say, I am now a budding amateur chef! I’m sharing the gems I’ve learned from that journey today on the podcast.
In this episode, we'll explore how to create a joyful, pleasurable, creative relationship with cooking and eating well, through the power of everyday sensuality.
You’ll learn:
Ways to shift your relationship with cooking and food from transactional to transformational
How to seduce yourself into trying new things and pursue eating well like a budding romance
How to choose cookbooks that help you become a sensual savant in the kitchen
A provocative love-letter poem to food that will tickle you salmon-pink!
With love and buttery sage leaves,
Mary
