Desire.
The word is like a stiletto.
Shapely and pointed at the same time.
Catholics believe desire to be the root of all sin.
Buddhists believe desire to be the root of all suffering.
Pagans believe desire to be the divine working through you.
What do you believe?
If you don’t even know, that’s a really good answer.
You've most likely been trained to believe paying attention to your desires is as pointless as swinging around a maypole in February.
Or that it dangerous and untrustworthy, like a new girl in town who wearing a coat that's been branded with a scarlet D.
When it comes to desire, how can you tell the difference between impulse, instinct and intuition?
How do you silence the voice of destructive desire (desire that causes harm) and creative desire (desire that brings life)?
Today on the podcast, we're exploring how to get back in right relationship with desire.
Desire doesn't have to equal suffering. It can be a fun, creative, joyful, sacred part of your life.
Bravely & Beautifully,
Mary
