Episode 45: Life Lessons From The Burlesque Stage

It's that time of year.

The time where Kitty Cavalier comes out of retirement for one more spin across the dance floor.

Kitty Cavalier is the burlesque persona I used to embody full time.  As Kitty, I went from feeling awkward and afraid of my sensuality, to inhabiting an explosive kind of confidence, and I couldn't resist closing out 2021 with some of that special sauce.

The lessons I learned as a burlesque star didn't just enhance my confidence as a performer on the stage.

Oh, no.

Trust me, it's impossible to see 300 people hooting and hollering with enthusiasm while you remove your stockings in slow motion and not have that carry over into the rest of your life.

Today, I'm sharing the top four gems of wisdom I learned from the burlesque stage, and how you can use them to bring more confidence, style and sass into your everyday.

You'll hear about:

  • The mantra that changed everything about my body image

  • How to naturally increase your powers of attraction when entering a room

  • How to maximize your beauty and capitalize on your curves with a subtle posing technique

  • The time I sent a lover on a scavenger hunt through the East Village that ended with me in a blond wig

And darling, there's so much more.

Cue the horns, pull back the velvet curtain, and enjoy!
