Every morning, I go to a river near my home and pray.
I gaze at the fast moving water and I remember in my bones, God is Flow.
I used to think God was suffering and struggle. That if life was hard it was proof I was showing up fully.
Sometimes that’s true. But more and more I’m learning that while the EFFORT comes from nurturing the soil, the WORK comes from sitting on my hands and letting the rose open, petal by petal, in its own time. Like slow roasted meat, juicy and oily, falling off the bone.
This is so much easier said than done.
Which is why in today’s episode, I’m giving you four glittering gems to practice the Art of Patience.
In today’s fast moving world this is one of the most underappreciated arts I can think of.
But nothing mirrors the wisdom and perfection of nature more beautifully.
