Tantra teacher Dawn Cartwright once talked about our sex lives being like posture.
She said that most people think they shouldn’t have to do any work on their sex lives, it should just be instinctual.
If we think about posture, there was a time when good posture didn’t need to be practiced. A time when our bodies were doing what they were designed for like hunting, running, exerting and resting.
But as our modern world grew to require sitting and hunching over a keyboard to survive more than running through a field, our posture evolved, and now we need to practice correct form and sitting up straight.
The same is true for our sex lives, and I think, the quality of presence in our everyday.
There was a time when we didn’t need to practice presence in order to feel it. When you were a baby for example, you were one big ball of presence. But in a world that flexes the muscle of the mind infinitely more than it does the body, we need to practice to remember.
Mindfulness is one of the ways we put down the chatter of the anxious mind and wake up the intelligence of the body.
If you’ve found traditional mindfulness practices to be useful, but difficult to maintain, or you’re uncertain how your round feminine curves (in body and spirit) fit into the straight lines of a masculine practice like meditation, today’s episode was created especially for you.
You’ll learn 3 simple rituals to experience less stress, and a more pleasurably embodied awareness in your everyday.
May you enjoy, with my love. ❤️
